Happy Thanksgiving everyone, hope your day was great!
I spent part of Thursday taking more crappy pictures, because I need to make a decision about Christmas cards soon. I've come to the conclusion that a photo with both kids in it just isn't going to happen.
For example, Johnny is smiling nicely in this picture, but Maureen looks grouchy.
Again, he has a nice smile, but she's not looking at the camera.
Her outfit looks cute in this photo, but you can't see her face.
I love this one of Johnny.
What a ham!
The next couple of pictures are of him rolling around in the grass, laughing.

I played with the lighting balance on this close up of Maureen, but no matter what I do to it, the shadow won't go away.
Her face is more visible in this picture, but her shirt is wrinkled and the lighting makes her look washed out.
She's looking at the camera and smiling and her hair looks cute, but she looks pale again. And my husband decided he wanted to sit down in the chair behind her right in the middle of my impromptu photo session. Argh.
Do any of you ever decide to just skip the pictures at Christmas time altogether? Because this shouldn't be that hard.
In the meantime, I'll keep trying.

My SIL and fam came over for Thanksgiving yesterday. We took well over 100 pictures between the two of us of her three kids and maybe got two or three that would work. It is definitely not fun.
It was infinitely easier when there was just one kid to get a picture of. Getting them to both look cute at the same time and in the same direction is nothing short of a miracle. I have a nice shot of each of my kids but some stroke of luck so I'm going to look for a card where I can put 2 pictures in. You're right, it shouldn't be this hard!
Costco.com lets you put multiple photos on the same card... it looks kind ofcool. I am sure othe places do that, too- maybe that's an option?
I think that sometimes the most unplanned photos are the best ones...just keep clicking and you'll get your happy accident!!!
The pics of your children though, are beautiful....they are so gorgeous and full of life!!! Testament to your amazing parenting!!!
