Jen at Lords Of The Manor tagged me for the Six Random Things meme. I'm supposed to list six insignificant details about myself and tag six other people.
1) I love black clothing. But since I have dark hair and pale skin, it's not the most flattering color for me to wear. I know this, yet I continue to buy black clothing. I'm not sure why, maybe I think it's more sophisticated or something or maybe it's got something to do with not wanting to get older. Anyway, last winter when my dryer died, I learned that I wash dark colors more often than anything else because most of my clothes are black, brown or denim. It makes it easy to get dressed in the morning. And strangely, I have few pairs of black shoes.
2) I'm currently obsessed with bracelets. I don't wear dangling earrings because the kids tend to yank them, and I rarely wear necklaces for the same reason. But I have a jewelry box filled with a bunch of funky bracelets. If I'm going to dress in all black, I suppose my jewelry should be interesting, at least.
3) I detest rats with every fiber of my being. So when clients bring pet rats into work for treatment, I have a hard time concealing my distaste. A friend once told me, after hearing a story about my neighbor, my neighbor's dog's food bowl, and six enormous city rats, "You know, I think you hate rats more than anyone I've ever met." So what's wrong with that?
4) I have serious issues with things being neat and clean, not including my children's dresser drawers. And when other people are not neat and clean according to my standards, it's very hard on me. Drawers need to be closed, beds need to be made, the placemats on my table need to be squared off. And don't get me started on crumbs and dust.
5) Sometimes I forget to feed my cat. He sleeps all day and stays up all night jumping on my feet, so it's his fault that sometimes I'm too tired to remember that he needs to eat.
6) Animal smells and things like dirty diapers don't bother me. But food smells turn my stomach. Sour milk? Gag. Rotting potatoes? Oh, My God. Moldy cheese? Get it away from me, before I vomit on you. My husband still has not figured this out, because he will sometimes ask me, "Here, smell this. Does this food seem weird to you?"

I am soooo with you on #4.
Sometimes I forget to feed the dogs. They're outside and I'm not. Poor dogs. Good thing I have a husband that is "supposed" to feed them. :)
Thanks for the tag... it's up.
