Literary Santa

We're big on reading around here, so when people ask what the kids would like for birthdays or Christmas, I always say books. Here are the latest additions to our library.

Another Frances book. Perfect for the child expecting a new sibling. The picture of Mother Badger feeding the baby Gloria is hysterical. And, as always, Frances sings her little songs.

Classic Dr. Seuss. We start off reading it slow, and at the end, I'm reading as fast as I can and not stumble over the words. Johnny thinks it's a riot.

The baby rabbit tries to find the words to describe unlimitless love. A sweet board book for Maureen.

Flaps to lift, different textures to feel. A fun book for Maureen.

Solomon never thought his two belly buttons were unusual until his baby sister was born with just one. A great book for anyone who has ever felt like the exception to the rule.

Someone gave me Guess How Much I Love You when Collin was born and we would read it every night from the time he was a teeny tiny baby. We don't read it as often now because he has so many different books to choose from and his favorites are always changing but it's still one of mine.
