Child On A Rampage

Our weather has been pretty rotten lately, either raining or snowing or just plain cold, so we have been stuck indoors. Johnny needs some sort of physical activity every day to burn off some of his endless energy, and he hasn't been getting it. He is a maniac.

Today, it is raining again, and he's out of control. The picture is what my living room looks like. A nice mixture of books, stuffed animals, blocks, and pieces of floor mat. The baby gate is to keep Maureen away from the door, and I moved the coffee table to keep her out of the entertainment center, but the rest of the mess is courtesy of Johnny-Fling-Stuff. His bedroom isn't much better. While I was in the shower, he threw all his pillows and blankets on the floor to make a landing pad for the flying leaps he was taking off the bed.

I decided to pretty much leave it for now, because if I put it away, he will just get it all out again.

It's going to be a long day.

Hope your day got better or at least maybe you are enjoying a cocktail or a beer now to recoup from your long day:)

I wish it was colder here, it's currently 74 degrees, my kids are in shorts and I'm wearing flip flops, but this is not Florida!!!

SO SO SO glad to see someone else's house looks like mine on these cold days :)

In Texas it is so hot that they build indoor playgrounds anywhere they can...any chance there are any of those in Baltimore? Hoping for the best, and glad Johnny is finding fun indoors.

Hope by now you're getting some R&R.

He needs one of those hamster wheel thingies, where he can just run and run and run . . .

My house looks like that on a regular basis. My New Year's resolution is to make Collin pick some of it up every night before he goes to bed. I used to do it before I went to bed but I'm tired and it just looks that way again as soon as he gets home so I don't bother unless I'm feeling particularly energetic. It makes me feel better to know my kid isn't the only one who likes to play with ALL of his toys at once!
