I've spent more time in the past few days going back and forth to work to get supplies for Jameson than I usually spend going there for my shifts.
By Friday night, his throwing up had gotten worse and he had developed loose, bloody stools, so I called over to work and talked to one of the vets who was still there. She recommended I give him fluids under the skin and oral Pepcid, so I went over there to pick up the stuff. Jameson fought the techs when he was there on Monday, but he just lay there for me.
By Saturday afternoon, he was even worse, so I called again. He really was at the point of needing to be hospitalized, but considering his temperament, the doctor thought it would be better for me to treat him at home. So I took another trip over to pick up more stuff, and he just lay there while I jabbed him with needles.
He looked a little perkier this morning, but hasn't eaten since Thursday and is still throwing up. We were gone for most of the day at the Boordy Vineyard Wine Festival (and, HELLO, it's October, why on earth was it 90 degrees today???), so I left him in the bathroom with his box. Good thing I did because he had had more issues by the time we got home.
He is very ill.
I am very worried about him.
I know what I'm doing tomorrow. It's time to bite the bullet and hospitalize him.
Cross your fingers this is something that can be resolved. Otherwise we have some decision making to do.

Two of our three cats are getting older (15 and 14) I am not looking forward to their geriatric years.

I'm SOOOO sorry to hear he's so sick! We're all praying for him!
You're lucky you've been able to do so much for him at home. I hope they help him get well soon at the hospital.
