I'm not sure who teething is harder on, the baby getting the tooth, or the parent who gets to take care of the fussy baby.
Maureen has been drooling and gnawing on things for about 5 months now. Yesterday I found a good sized lump in her gums, and today it seems bigger. If it's even possible, she is drooling more, and I think she's finally getting her first tooth.
She was her usual sunny self today and took two nice naps, but now that it's (way past) bedtime, she is miserable and awake. I gave her some Infant Tylenol and fed her some cereal, then put her back down. She's quiet, but I can hear her rolling around in her bed. Hopefully once she falls asleep, she'll stay that way, because I'm an Inventory Widow this weekend, and I need all the rest I can get. John is in charge of physical inventory at work, and not only has he been putting in long hours this week, I probably won't see much of him at all tomorrow through Sunday.
On tomorrow's To Do list: take a picture of Maureen smiling before she gets a tooth and that gummy grin is gone forever.
