Are You Tired Of Reading About Potty Training Yet?

I warned you that moms talk about poop a lot!

Johnny is doing so well. You may have noticed that my label for posts of this nature is "potty training sucks," but it hasn't been half bad. On Saturday, we attended a fireworks party at the home of longtime friends of John's parents. They live right on the water and have a perfect view of the fireworks show over Middle River. We took Johnny's potty along and he did great all evening. On Sunday, he started wanting to use the big potty and he can even climb up onto it himself, so the potty-toting was short lived. (Although the idea of him clambering onto a public potty really squicks me out. *shudder*)

After 'The Incident' on Friday, it seemed like he was holding his poop in, so we told him yesterday that it was OK if he went in his diaper. Not even ten minutes later, he announced, "I'm poopin'!" and then immediately insisted on having a change.

This morning he told me, "If you poop on the potty, you get a milkshake," and then proceeded to try (but not produce) twice. But I think he's on his way.

This is awesome. Bye-bye Pampers!
